How it works

1. Cast Croaking Counterpart by paying 1, creating a token copy of Enduring Scalelord that is a 1/1 Frog.
2. Put a +1/+1 counter on either Enduring Scalelord.
3. The Enduring Scalelord who didn't have the counter put on it triggers, putting a +1/+1 counter on itself.
4. Repeat step 3.

This delightful loop relies on having two copies of Enduring Scalelord—one being the original creature and the other a token created by Croaking Counterpart. Because each Scalelord's triggered ability specifies that it triggers whenever one or more +1/+1 counters are put on *another* creature you control, placing a counter on either one causes the other to trigger in response. That second Scalelord then receives a counter of its own, which in turn triggers the first, creating an endless, self-sustaining loop of growth that generates infinite +1/+1 counters on both your original creature and your token copy.
