How it works

1. Cast Kor Skyfisher by paying 0 and 2 life due to Defiler of Faith and The Immortal Sun.
2. Defiler of Faith triggers, creating a 1/1 Soldier creature token.
3. When the Soldier enters, Elas il-Kor triggers, causing you to gain life.
4. Resolve Kor Skyfisher. When it enters, it and Elas il-Kor trigger.
5. Resolve the Kor Skyfisher trigger, returning it from the battlefield to your hand.
6. Resolve the Elas il-Kor trigger, causing you to gain life.
7. Repeat.

This clever loop turns Kor Skyfisher into a self-sustaining engine by completely wiping out its mana cost: the general cost reduction from The Immortal Sun combines with the life-payment ability of Defiler of Faith to make the creature completely free to cast. Whenever Kor Skyfisher hits the battlefield, its own mandatory bounce trigger safely returns it to your hand so you can repeat the process endlessly. Each iteration feeds your board state by triggering Defiler of Faith to churn out a fresh 1/1 Soldier creature token, which in turn immediately triggers Elas il-Kor, Sadistic Pilgrim to pad your life total with a steady stream of lifegain.
