How it works

1. Cause an opponent to discard at least one card.
2. Activate a mana-producing permanent by tapping it, adding at least 1.
3. Activate Mind over Matter twice by discarding Aurora Eidolon and another card, untapping Elite Arcanist and the mana-producing permanent.
4. Activate Elite Arcanist by paying 1 and tapping it, casting a copy of Dream Salvage without paying its mana cost.
5. Aurora Eidolon triggers, returning itself to your hand from your graveyard.
6. Resolve Dream Salvage, causing you to draw at least one card.
7. Repeat from step 2.

This intricate loop turns Elite Arcanist into a self-sustaining engine by utilizing Mind Over Matter to untap both the Arcanist and your mana source whenever you discard. By feeding Aurora Eidolon and another card into Mind Over Matter's discard cost, you generate the mana and untaps needed to recast a copied Dream Salvage repeatedly. Each iteration draws you fresh cards because Dream Salvage counts the cards your opponent discarded, while Aurora Eidolon cleverly leverages its own multicolored casting trigger to return from the graveyard straight back to your hand for the next cycle.
