How it works

1. Activate Elite Arcanist's ability by paying 1 and tapping it, casting a copy of Brightstone Ritual without paying its mana cost.
2. Resolve Brightstone Ritual, adding at least 2.
3. Activate Freed from the Real's second ability by paying 1, untapping Elite Arcanist.
4. Repeat.
5. If you control three of more Goblins, this combo nets infinite mana.

This loop turns Elite Arcanist into a self-sustaining mana engine by imprinting it with Brightstone Ritual. Because Mycosynth Lattice makes every permanent an artifact in addition to its other types, it cleverly transforms Elite Arcanist into a Goblin (along with all other permanents on the battlefield), ensuring that the copied ritual always sees enough Goblins to generate excess mana. Freed from the Real then acts as the untap mechanism, letting you repeatedly pay blue mana to untap the Arcanist and cast the ritual anew. As long as you control at least three permanents total, Brightstone Ritual yields more mana than the {1} required to activate Elite Arcanist and the {U} needed for Freed from the Real, resulting in infinite colored mana, infinite storm count, and infinite magecraft triggers.
