How it works

1. Activate Elite Arcanist's ability by paying 3 and tapping it, casting a copy of Seething Song without paying its mana cost.
2. Resolve Seething Song, adding 5.
3. Activate Freed from the Real's second ability by paying 1, untapping Elite Arcanist.
4. Repeat.

To pull off this ambitious mana-generation loop, Elite Arcanist must first safely enter the battlefield and imprint the explosive red spell Seething Song beneath its enter-the-battlefield trigger. Because Mycosynth Lattice blankets the entire board and every zone in colorless neutrality while smoothing out all color restrictions, our setup can happily bridge blue, red, and generic mana requirements without a hitch. Once Freed from the Real is enchanted to the Arcanist, you can tap it to cast a copied Seething Song for a net positive injection of mana, then spend a fraction of those proceeds to untap the Arcanist via Freed from the Real and repeat the process ad infinitum.
