How it works
If Grim Poppet has any -1/-1 counters on it, activate it by removing a -1/-1 counter from it.
Repeat step 1 as necessary until Grim Poppet has no -1/-1 counters on it.
Activate Arcbound Ravager by sacrificing Grim Poppet.
When Grim Poppet dies, its persist ability triggers, returning it from your graveyard to the battlefield with a -1/-1 counter on it.
Resolve the Arcbound Ravager ability.
Repeat.
Resolve all Grim Poppet abilities, putting infinite -1/-1 counters on any number of creatures.
This elegant loop turns the back side of Eirdu, Carrier of Dawn // Isilu, Carrier of Twilight into an engine of recursive doom, granting Isilu's persist ability to Grim Poppet so it can keep returning from the dead. Whenever Grim Poppet enters the battlefield with a -1/-1 counter, you can strip its counters away using its own activated ability to target opposing creatures before sacrificing it to Arcbound Ravager. Because Arcbound Ravager feeds on artifacts and converts Grim Poppet's sacrifice into growing +1/+1 counters via modular, the persist trigger seamlessly resets the whole cycle—allowing you to dismantle opposing boards entirely while generating boundless artifact and creature triggers.
