How it works

1. Activate Idris using Basalt Monolith's first ability by tapping it, adding CCC.
2. Activate Idris using Basalt Monolith's second ability by paying 3.
3. Illusionist's Bracers triggers, copying Idris' ability.
4. Resolve the copy of Idris' ability, untapping it.
5. Activate Idris using Basalt Monolith's first ability by tapping it, adding CCC.
6. Resolve the Idris ability from step 2, untapping it.
7. Repeat.

By imprinting Basalt Monolith beneath Idris, Soul of the TARDIS, Idris inherits the monolith's mana-producing and untapping abilities, gaining a massive power boost to boot. While Basalt Monolith's untap ability normally costs three mana to break even on a neutral loop, equipping Idris with Illusionist's Bracers twists the math in your favor by doubling that untap activation. This dynamic duplication generates a surplus of colorless mana with every cycle, completely bypassing the artifact's natural restriction of not untapping during your untap step.
