How it works

1. Activate Phyrexian Altar by sacrificing Golgari Thug, adding one mana of any color.
2. When Golgari Thug dies, it and Fecundity trigger.
3. Resolve the Golgari Thug trigger, putting it on top of your library from your graveyard.
4. Resolve the Fecundity trigger, causing you to draw Golgari Thug from the top of your library.
5. Cast Golgari Thug by paying 0 due to Aluren.
6. Repeat.

This elegant loop transforms the graveyard into an endless engine, fueled entirely by creatures costing three mana or less slipping onto the battlefield for zero mana thanks to Aluren. When you sacrifice Golgari Thug to Phyrexian Altar, you generate a mana of any color while simultaneously triggering both Fecundity and the Thug itself. The Thug’s own trigger places it right back on top of your library, allowing the Fecundity trigger to immediately draw it into your hand so you can recast it for free and repeat the entire process.
