How it works

  1. Activate Viscera Seer by sacrificing Angel of Invention.
  2. When Angel of Invention dies, its persist ability triggers, returning it from your graveyard to the battlefield with a -1/-1 counter on it.
  3. When Angel of Invention enters, its fabricate ability triggers, putting a +1/+1 counter on it.
  4. Resolve the Viscera Seer ability.
  5. Repeat.

This clever loop revolves around the back side of Eirdu, Carrier of Dawn // Isilu, Carrier of Twilight, which grants your nontoken creatures persist, allowing Angel of Invention to keep returning from the graveyard with a -1/-1 counter whenever Viscera Seer sacrifices it. Because Angel of Invention has fabricate 2, its entry trigger lets you place a +1/+1 counter on it right away, which immediately neutralizes the -1/+1 counter through state-based actions so the angel is ready to persist all over again. Meanwhile, the front side of Eirdu, Carrier of Dawn // Isilu, Carrier of Twilight gives your creature spells convoke to help manage your mana, though the true genius here is how the Angel's own anthem ability and self-replacing counters sustain an endless cycle of sacrifices for infinite scrys and triggers.
