How it works

1. Activate Shilgengar by sacrificing Angel of Invention.
2. When Angel of Invention dies, its persist ability triggers, returning it from your graveyard to the battlefield with a -1/-1 counter on it.
3. When Angel of Invention enters, its fabricate ability triggers, putting a +1/+1 counter on it.
4. Resolve the Shilgengar ability.
5. Repeat.

This loop turns a simple sacrifice into a self-sustaining cycle by leveraging Isilu, Carrier of Twilight's passive grant of persist alongside the raw utility of Eirdu, Carrier of Dawn. When you feed Angel of Invention to Shilgengar, Sire of Famine, the Angel's persist ability brings it straight back from the graveyard, and the +1/+1 counter from its fabricate trigger instantly neutralizes the incoming -1/-1 counter so the loop can repeat indefinitely. Meanwhile, Shilgengar happily converts every sacrifice into a steady stream of Blood tokens, cleanly generating an endless cascade of triggers and resources.
