How it works
Activate Phantom Train by sacrificing Angel of Invention.
When Angel of Invention dies, its persist ability triggers, returning it from your graveyard to the battlefield with a -1/-1 counter on it.
When Angel of Invention enters, its fabricate ability triggers, putting a +1/+1 counter on it.
Resolve the Phantom Train ability.
Repeat.
This loop relies on Isilu, Carrier of Twilight—the night-facing side of Eirdu, Carrier of Dawn—to blanket your team in persist, ensuring your non-token creatures refuse to stay dead. When you feed Angel of Invention to Phantom Train's sacrifice ability, the Angel's own persist brings it right back with a -1/-1 counter, which is immediately neutralized by the +1/+1 counter from its fabricate ability. Because Phantom Train accepts any artifact or creature sacrifice to grow itself and animate, you can repeat this cycle endlessly to generate infinite sacrifice triggers, death triggers, and a massively oversized vehicle.
