How it works

1. Activate Umbral Collar Zealot by sacrificing Angel of Invention.
2. When Angel of Invention dies, its persist ability triggers, returning it from your graveyard to the battlefield with a -1/-1 counter on it.
3. When Angel of Invention enters, its fabricate ability triggers, putting a +1/+1 counter on it.
4. Resolve the Umbral Collar Zealot ability.
5. Repeat.

This loop relies on the clever synergy between Isilu, Carrier of Twilight's passive grant of persist to your nontoken creatures and Umbral Collar Zealot's sacrifice outlet. When you sacrifice Angel of Invention to Umbral Collar Zealot, persist returns it to the battlefield, where its own static anthem boosts its stats and its fabricate ability counters the -1/+1 counter from persist via state-based actions. This resets the angel so it can be sacrificed over and over again, fueled in part by the discount Eirdu, Carrier of Dawn provides to your creature spells before you transform it.
