How it works

1. Activate Myr Scrapling by sacrificing it.
2. When Myr Scrapling dies, Mortuary and Blood Artist trigger.
3. Resolve the Mortuary trigger, putting Myr Scrapling from your graveyard onto the top of your library.
4. Resolve the Blood Artist trigger, causing you to gain 1 life and target opponent to lose 1 life.
5. Resolve the Myr Scrapling ability.
6. Cast Myr Scrapling from the top of your library by paying 1 life.
7. Repeat.

This loop transforms a humble construct into a continuous engine of life and death, fueled entirely by the top of your library. By sacrificing Myr Scrapling to itself, you trigger both Blood Artist to drain your opponent and Mortuary to neatly recycle the automaton right back onto your library. Meanwhile, Gwenom, Remorseless grants you the vital permission to play that exact same Myr Scrapling directly from the top of your library, trading life instead of mana to recast it. Because Gwenom, Remorseless also gives you lifelink—and Blood Artist steadily drains your opponents—you more than comfortably pay the life required to keep the cycle spinning infinitely.
