How it works

  1. Cast Flicker by paying 1W mana, targeting Mystic Sanctuary.
  2. Thousand-Year Storm triggers, copying Flicker at least once, with each copy targeting Quintorius Kand.
  3. Resolve the first copy of Flicker, blinking Quintorius Kand.
  4. Any remaining copies of Flicker fizzle due to having no legal target.
  5. Resolve the original Flicker, blinking Mystic Sanctuary.
  6. When Mystic Sanctuary enters the battlefield, it triggers, putting Flicker on top of your library from your graveyard.
  7. Activate Quintorius Kand's second loyalty ability by removing three loyalty counters from it, causing you to exile Flicker from the top of your library and cast it without paying its mana cost, targeting Mystic Sanctuary.
  8. Quintorius Kand and Thousand-Year Storm trigger.
  9. Resolve the Quintorius Kand trigger, dealing 2 damage to each opponent and causing you to gain 2 life.
  10. Resolve the Thousand-Year Storm trigger, copying Flicker at least twice, with each copy targeting Quintorius Kand.
  11. Repeat from step 3.
  12. You may optionally target any permanent using the additional Flicker copies to blink them.

This loop turns a modest blink spell into an unstoppable engine by leveraging the storm mechanics of Thousand-Year Storm to continually reset and fuel your board state. Every iteration relies on Mystic Sanctuary entering the battlefield untapped to recycle Flicker right back to the top of your library, where Quintorius Kand’s discover ability can immediately re-exile and cast it for free. As this cycle repeats, Quintorius Kand capitalizes on casting spells from exile to drain your opponents' life totals and pad your own life, while Thousand-Year Storm scales exponentially to multiply your spells and generate overwhelming advantage.
