How it works

  1. Cast Urza's Bauble either from your hand or from the top of your library by paying 0
  2. Showdown of the Skalds triggers, putting a +1/+1 counter on Arcbound Reclaimer.
  3. Activate Urza's Bauble by tapping and sacrificing it.
  4. Activate Arcbound Reclaimer by removing a +1/+1 counter from it, putting Urza's Bauble from your graveyard onto the top of your library.
  5. Repeat.

This clever loop transforms a humble zero-mana trinket into an infinite engine by constantly recycling it back to the top of your library. You initiate the sequence by casting Urza's Bauble, which immediately triggers Showdown of the Skalds's chapters II and III to replenish Arcbound Reclaimer with the exact +1/+1 counter it needs to fuel its activation. Once Urza's Bauble is in the graveyard from its own sacrifice, you use Arcbound Reclaimer's activated ability to place the artifact right back on top of your library. While The Lunar Whale isn't strictly necessary for the core loop, its passive ability lets you look at the top card of your library at any time—and if it attacked that turn, its other static ability even lets you play that top card directly—allowing you to easily redraw your repeatedly stacked Urza's Bauble and rack up an infinite storm count and artifact triggers.
