How it works

1. Cast Lion's Eye Diamond either from your hand or from the top of your library by paying 0
2. Showdown of the Skalds triggers, putting a +1/+1 counter on Arcbound Reclaimer.
3. Activate Lion's Eye Diamond by discarding your hand and sacrificing it.
4. Activate Arcbound Reclaimer by removing a +1/+1 counter from it, putting Lion's Eye Diamond from your graveyard onto the top of your library.
5. Repeat.

This clever loop turns Showdown of the Skalds into a reliable engine by leveraging its second and third lore counters to continuously buff Arcbound Reclaimer with +1/+1 counters. Each of those counters directly fuels Arcbound Reclaimer's ability to recycle Lion's Eye Diamond from your graveyard back to the top of your library. From there, you simply cast Lion's Eye Diamond again to generate an endless supply of colored mana and storm count, utilizing The Lunar Whale to freely play it straight off the top of your library.
