How it works

1. Cast Lion's Eye Diamond either from your hand or from the top of your library by paying 0
2. Showdown of the Skalds triggers, putting a +1/+1 counter on Arcbound Reclaimer.
3. Activate Lion's Eye Diamond by discarding your hand and sacrificing it.
4. Activate Arcbound Reclaimer by removing a +1/+1 counter from it, putting Lion's Eye Diamond from your graveyard onto the top of your library.
5. Repeat.

This ingenious loop turns Madame Web, Clairvoyant and Showdown of the Skalds into a magnificent transmutation engine, utilizing Madame Web's ability to let you cast noncreature spells right off the top of your library. You drop Lion's Eye Diamond for free and crack it for three mana, pitching your hand in the process, while Showdown of the Skalds's chapters reward each spell cast by dropping a fresh +1/+1 counter onto Arcbound Reclaimer. That counter is immediately spent to fuel Arcbound Reclaimer's activation, pulling the sacrificed Lion's Eye Diamond right back to the top of your library so Madame Web can help you cast it all over again.
