How it works

1. Cast Dark Sphere either from your hand by paying 0 or from the top of your library by paying 0 life.
2. Showdown of the Skalds triggers, putting a +1/+1 counter on Arcbound Reclaimer.
3. Activate Dark Sphere by tapping and sacrificing it.
4. Activate Arcbound Reclaimer by removing a +1/+1 counter from it, putting Dark Sphere from your graveyard onto the top of your library.
5. Repeat.

This ingenious loop centers on the relentless recursion of Dark Sphere, which you can cast for free either naturally or off the top of your library via Gwenom, Remorseless while paying life instead of mana. Once Dark Sphere hits the graveyard, Arcbound Reclaimer steps in to recycle it back to the top of your library by consuming a +1/+1 counter. That counter is effortlessly replenished each time you cast your zero-mana artifact, thanks to the triggered ability provided by Showdown of the Skalds. Together, these pieces create an endless cycle of casting, sacrificing, and recurring your artifacts to generate an infinite storm of triggers and counters.
