How it works

1. Cast Rishkar's Expertise by paying 4.
2. Holding priority, activate Rootha by paying 2 and returning it to your hand, copying Rishkar's Expertise.
3. Resolve the copy of Rishkar's Expertise, causing you to draw cards equal to the greatest power among creatures you control and casting Rootha without paying its mana cost.
4. When Rootha enters the battlefield, Mana Echoes triggers, adding C for each Orc and/or Shaman you control.
5. Repeat from step 2.
6. If you control two other Orcs and/or Shamans, this combo nets near-infinite colorless mana.

This delightful loop turns the heavy card draw of Rishkar's Expertise into a self-sustaining engine by letting Rootha, Mercurial Artist endlessly copy the spell while returning safely to your hand to be recast for free off the expertise's own bonus effect. Because Rootha is an Orc and Shaman, her repeated entries onto the battlefield trigger Mana Echoes, which scales its colorless mana production with each iteration to easily pay the activation cost for Rootha's ability. As long as you have enough shared creature types to fuel the mana generation, you can cycle this sequence indefinitely to draw your entire deck, generate massive storm counts, and flood the board with endless enters-the-battlefield triggers.
