How it works

1. Cast Lion's Eye Diamond by paying its mana cost.
2. Teshar triggers, returning Scrap Trawler from your graveyard to the battlefield.
3. Activate Lion's Eye Diamond by discarding your hand and sacrificing it.
4. Activate Thermopod by sacrificing Scrap Trawler.
5. When Scrap Trawler dies, it triggers, returning Lion's Eye Diamond from your graveyard to your hand.
6. Repeat.

This intricate recursion engine relies on Teshar, Ancestor's Apostle constantly pulling Scrap Trawler back from the graveyard every time you cast a historic spell like Lion's Eye Diamond. As you sacrifice Lion's Eye Diamond for mana, you also sacrifice Scrap Trawler to Thermopod's mana ability, which triggers Scrap Trawler to return the sacrificed Lion's Eye Diamond right back to your hand.
