How it works

1. Cast Dark Sphere by paying its mana cost.
2. Teshar triggers, returning Scrap Trawler from your graveyard to the battlefield.
3. Activate Dark Sphere by tapping and sacrificing it.
4. Activate Phyrexian Altar by sacrificing Scrap Trawler.
5. When Scrap Trawler dies, it triggers, returning Dark Sphere from your graveyard to your hand.
6. Repeat.

This clever loop transforms the humble Dark Sphere into an engine of endless resurrection, anchored by the divine intervention of Teshar, Ancestor's Apostle. By casting the Sphere, you trigger Teshar to pull Scrap Trawler out of your graveyard, which in turn can be sacrificed to Phyrexian Altar for colored mana and a crucial death trigger. Because Dark Sphere has a lesser mana value than Scrap Trawler, that very same death trigger plucks the Sphere right back out of your graveyard and into your hand, allowing you to replay it as a historic spell and do it all over again.
