How it works

1. Cast Dark Sphere by paying its mana cost.
2. Teshar triggers, returning Scrap Trawler from your graveyard to the battlefield.
3. Activate Dark Sphere by tapping and sacrificing it.
4. Activate Atog by sacrificing Scrap Trawler.
5. When Scrap Trawler dies, it triggers, returning Dark Sphere from your graveyard to your hand.
6. Resolve the Atog ability.
7. Repeat.

This elegant loop relies on Teshar, Ancestor's Apostle and Scrap Trawler working in tandem to recycle cheap artifacts through the graveyard indefinitely. Each time you cast Dark Sphere, Teshar's historic trigger plucks Scrap Trawler back from the graveyard onto the battlefield, setting up the sacrifice engine. Once both artifacts are in play, you sacrifice Dark Sphere and use Atog to send Scrap Trawler to the graveyard; Scrap Trawler's death trigger then returns Dark Sphere right back to your hand so you can recast it. Fueling this entire process with Atog not only lets you feed the Scrap Trawler loop endlessly, but also pumps Atog into an infinitely large threat capable of ending the game on the spot.
