How it works

1. Cast Dark Sphere by paying its mana cost.
2. Teshar triggers, returning Scrap Trawler from your graveyard to the battlefield.
3. Activate Dark Sphere by tapping and sacrificing it.
4. Activate Shilgengar by sacrificing Scrap Trawler.
5. When Scrap Trawler dies, it triggers, returning Dark Sphere from your graveyard to your hand.
6. Resolve the Shilgengar ability.
7. Repeat.

This intricate recursion engine relies on Teshar, Ancestor's Apostle to continuously revive Scrap Trawler from the graveyard every time a historic spell is cast. As you sacrifice Scrap Trawler to Shilgengar, Sire of Famine, the Trawler's ability triggers to handily fish Dark Sphere back out of your graveyard, letting you recast it as a historic spell to restart the loop. Meanwhile, Shilgengar keeps the operation fueled by churning out Blood tokens with every sacrifice, eventually amassing enough wealth to unleash a massive board-wide resurrection when you're ready to close out the game.
