How it works

1. Cast Dark Sphere by paying its mana cost.
2. Teshar triggers, returning Scrap Trawler from your graveyard to the battlefield.
3. Activate Dark Sphere by tapping and sacrificing it.
4. Activate Umbral Collar Zealot by sacrificing Scrap Trawler.
5. When Scrap Trawler dies, it triggers, returning Dark Sphere from your graveyard to your hand.
6. Resolve the Umbral Collar Zealot ability.
7. Repeat.

This clever loop relies on Teshar, Ancestor's Apostle acting as your engine's heart, resurrecting Scrap Trawler from the graveyard every time you cast a historic spell like Dark Sphere. Once Scrap Trawler is on the battlefield, you can use Umbral Collar Zealot's sacrifice ability to bin the Trawler itself, which in turn triggers Scrap Trawler's ability to return the spent Dark Sphere straight back to your hand. Because Dark Sphere costs zero mana, you can continually recast it to trigger Teshar all over again, fueling an endless cycle of artifact recycling, surveilling, and sacrifice triggers.
