How it works

  1. Activate Phyrexian Altar by sacrificing Elenda, adding 1.
  2. Elenda dies, triggering itself and Nim Deathmantle.
  3. Resolve the Elenda trigger, creating at least four 1/1 Vampire creature tokens.
  4. Activate Phyrexian Altar by sacrificing three Vampire tokens, adding 3.
  5. Resolve the Nim Deathmantle trigger, paying 4 to return Elenda to the battlefield, and attach Nim Deathmantle to it.
  6. Activate Phyrexian Altar by sacrificing a Vampire token, adding 1.
  7. Elenda triggers, putting a +1/+1 counter on itself.
  8. Activate Phyrexian Altar by sacrificing Elenda, adding 1.
  9. Elenda dies, triggering itself and Nim Deathmantle.
  10. Resolve the Elenda trigger, creating at least four 1/1 Vampire creature tokens.
  11. Activate Phyrexian Altar by sacrificing two Vampire tokens, adding 2.
  12. Repeat from step 5.
