How it works

1. Declare Lightning Runner and three other creatures as attackers, triggering each of their abilities.
2. Resolve the first Lightning Runner trigger, causing you to get EE and not pay for an additional combat phase.
3. Repeat step 2 two additional times.
4. Resolve the final Lightning Runner trigger, causing you to get EE and pay eight E to untap all creatures you control and to get an additional combat phase after this one.
5. Repeat each combat phase.

This explosive loop relies on Lightning Runner’s aggressive combat trigger to endlessly chain attacks, but it needs a clever trick to fuel the massive energy requirement. By enchanting one of the runners with Infinite Reflection, your entire board transforms into copies of Lightning Runner, multiplying the energy generated with every single attack. When four identical runners charge into the red zone together, their combined triggers instantly amass the necessary eight energy counters to untap your entire team and grant an extra combat phase. Because the newly created copy creatures also trigger this ability, you can repeat the process indefinitely for infinite combat phases.
