How it works

1. Cast Gigantoplasm by paying its mana cost. Choose to have it enter the battlefield as a copy of Rakdos Joins Up.
2. Put Gigantoplasm into your graveyard due to the legend rule.
3. Gigantoplasm's first ability and second ability trigger, along with Rakdos Joins Up's second ability.
4. Resolve Gigantoplasm's second trigger and Rakdos Joins Up's trigger, dealing damage to target opponent.
5. Resolve Gigantoplasm's first trigger, returning it from your graveyard to the battlefield with two +1/+1 counters on it as a copy of Rakdos Joins Up.
6. Repeat from step 2.

This delightful loop turns the legend rule into a lethal weapon by letting Rakdos Joins Up repeatedly resurrect itself. When you cast Gigantoplasm as a copy of an existing Rakdos Joins Up, state-based actions immediately send one to the graveyard, triggering both the original and the clone to deal damage and bring the copy right back to the battlefield with two extra +1/+1 counters. Starfield of Nyx plays a vital supporting role here: by turning your non-Aura enchantments into creatures once you control five or more of them, it enables Gigantoplasm to enter as a creature in the first place, allowing the whole engine to cycle endlessly and burn out your opponents.
