How it works

1. Animate Dreamstone Hedron using The Blackstaff of Waterdeep.
2. Activate Dreamstone Hedron by tapping it, adding CCC.
3. Activate Voltaic Construct by paying 2, untapping Dreamstone Hedron.
4. Repeat from step 2.

To pull off this ambitious transmutation, you first use The Blackstaff of Waterdeep to awaken Dreamstone Hedron into a 4/4 artifact creature, turning a passive mana rock into a living target for your machinery. Once animated, you tap Dreamstone Hedron for three colorless mana—more than enough to fuel Voltaic Construct's activation cost of two mana to untap it right back. By looping this process, you generate an infinite surplus of colorless mana while keeping Voltaic Construct ready to continuously untap your artifact creatures at a moment's notice.
