How it works

1. Cast Appa, Steadfast Guardian by paying .
2. When Appa, Steadfast Guardian enters, it triggers, airbending Appa, Loyal Sky Bison
3. Cast Appa, Loyal Sky Bison from exile by paying 0.
4. Appa, Steadfast Guardian triggers, creating a 1/1 Ally creature token.
5. When Appa, Loyal Sky Bison enters, it triggers, airbending Appa, Steadfast Guardian
6. Cast Appa, Steadfast Guardian from exile by paying 0.
7. Repeat from step 2.

This brilliant loop relies on the cost-reduction engine of Rakdos, Lord of Riots to completely subvert the mana cost of re-entering permanents. Once an opponent has lost life to unlock Rakdos, Lord of Riots, you can cast Appa, Steadfast Guardian, whose entry trigger airbends Appa, Loyal Sky Bison into exile where it can be recast for just {2}. As Appa, Loyal Sky Bison re-enters the battlefield, its own entry trigger airbends Appa, Steadfast Guardian back into exile, dropping its recast cost to {2} as well—a cost entirely negated by the massive mana reduction provided by Rakdos, Lord of Riots. Repeating this back-and-forth cycle endlessly triggers Appa, Steadfast Guardian's second ability to flood the board with an infinite army of 1/1 white Ally creature tokens while racking up an infinite storm count.
