How it works

3. You must repeat the last step in a mandatory loop, resulting in a game draw.

This bizarre interaction arises when Clever Impersonator enters the battlefield as a copy of Garruk Relentless // Garruk, the Veil-Cursed, retaining the planeswalker's copied abilities but lacking a crucial rule built into double-faced cards. Because Clever Impersonator is a standard single-faced card, it completely fails to transform when its loyalty drops to two or fewer from using Garruk Relentless // Garruk, the Veil-Cursed's damage-dealing ability.
