How it works

1. Activate Bartolomé del Presidio by sacrificing Evernight Shade

4. Activate Bartolomé del Presidio by sacrificing Evernight Shade
5. When Evernight Shade dies, its persist ability triggers, returning it from your graveyard to the battlefield with a -1/-1 counter on it.
6. Evernight Shade enters and dies as a state-based action due to having 0 toughness. Its undying ability triggers, returning it from your graveyard to the battlefield with a +1/+1 counter on it.
7. Resolve the Bartolomé del Presidio ability from step 4.
8. Repeat from step 4.
