LockPrevent all damage that would be dealt to you
How it works
While Glacial Chasm is on the battlefield, all damage that would be dealt to you is prevented.
At the beginning of your upkeep, Glacial Chasm triggers. Choose not to pay its cumulative upkeep cost and sacrifice it.
Activate Bartolomé del Presidio by sacrificing World Shaper.
When World Shaper dies, its second ability triggers, returning Glacial Chasm and Mortuary Mire from your graveyard to the battlefield tapped.
When Glacial Chasm and Mortuary Mire enter, they each trigger.
Resolve the Glacial Chasm trigger, sacrificing Mortuary Mire.
Resolve the Mortuary Mire trigger, putting World Shaper from your graveyard onto the top of your library.
Resolve the Bartolomé del Presidio ability from step 3.
Move to your next turn, drawing World Shaper during your draw step.
At the beginning of your upkeep, Glacial Chasm triggers. Choose not to pay its cumulative upkeep cost and sacrifice it.
Cast World Shaper by paying 3.
Repeat from step 3.
This resilient loop creates a permanent soft-lock against all damage by repeatedly resetting Glacial Chasm through the graveyard. By using Bartolomé del Presidio to sacrifice World Shaper, you trigger World Shaper's death ability to return your lands—including both Glacial Chasm and Mortuary Mire—straight to the battlefield. Mortuary Mire cleverly recycles World Shaper back to the top of your library so you can recast it on your turn, while Glacial Chasm's entry trigger forces you to sacrifice the Mire, perfectly managing the sacrifice requirement of the Chasm itself.
