How it works
- Cast Technomancer by paying 5.
- When Technomancer enters, it triggers, causing you to mill three cards and return Phyrexian Metamorph from your graveyard to the battlefield as a copy of Technomancer.
- When Phyrexian Metamorph enters, it triggers. Holding priority, activate Bartolomé del Presidio by sacrificing Phyrexian Metamorph.
- Resolve the Phyrexian Metamorph trigger, causing you to mill three cards and return Phyrexian Metamorph from your graveyard to the battlefield as a copy of Technomancer.
- Repeat from step 3.
This loop relies on Phyrexian Metamorph entering the battlefield as a copy of Technomancer, allowing its enter-the-battlefield ability to immediately recur itself from the graveyard by targeting its own copy effect. Because Technomancer's recursion clause allows it to pull back any artifact creatures whose total mana value is 6 or less, the Metamorph copy easily fits within that budget. To keep the engine running, Bartolomé del Presidio acts as the sacrifice outlet, letting you feed the cloned Technomancer to the graveyard so it can be endlessly re-imported with an escalating tally of triggers and counters.
