How it works

1. Activate Bartolomé del Presidio by sacrificing another nontoken green Insect.
2. When the Insect dies, Zask and Verdant Succession trigger.
3. Resolve the Zask trigger, putting the Insect on the bottom of your library from your graveyard and causing you to mill two cards.
4. Resolve the Verdant Succession trigger, searching your library for that Insect and putting it onto the battlefield.
5. Resolve the Bartolomé del Presidio ability.
6. Repeat.

This resilient engine relies on Zask, Skittering Swarmlord to continuously reposition your fallen green Insects, shielding them from permanent loss by recycling them to the bottom of your library whenever they perish. Meanwhile, Verdant Succession acts as your primary tutor piece, immediately replacing that sacrificed creature by fetching another copy straight from your library onto the battlefield whenever it hits the graveyard. Bartolomé del Presidio serves as the sacrificial outlet that keeps the loop moving, growing larger with +1/+1 counters each time while triggering relentless death, enter-the-battlefield, and self-mill triggers that can easily overwhelm your opponents.
