How it works

  1. Activate Bartolomé del Presidio by sacrificing Michelangelo.
  2. When Michelangelo dies, it and Deathrender trigger.
  3. Resolve the Michelangelo trigger, returning it from your graveyard to your hand.
  4. Resolve the Deathrender trigger, putting Michelangelo from your hand onto the battlefield and attaching Deathrender to it.
  5. Resolve the Bartolomé del Presidio ability.
  6. Repeat.

This loop turns a tragic demise into a ceaseless cycle of growth by leveraging Michelangelo, On the Scene alongside Deathrender and Bartolomé del Presidio. When you sacrifice Michelangelo to Bartolomé del Presidio, Michelangelo’s own death trigger dutifully returns it right back to your hand. Simultaneously, Deathrender triggers upon that same death, allowing you to seamlessly redeploy Michelangelo straight from your hand onto the battlefield equipped with the very same artifact. Because Michelangelo enters with a +1/+1 counter for each land you control—and Bartolomé del Presidio happily grows with every sacrifice—this engine instantly generates infinite sacrifice, death, ETB triggers, and towering counters without ever running out of fuel.
