How it works

1. Activate Bartolomé del Presidio by sacrificing Shambling Ghast.
2. When Shambling Ghast dies, it, Pitiless Plunderer and Rakdos trigger.
3. Resolve the Shambling Ghast and Pitiless Plunderer triggers, creating two Treasure tokens.
4. Activate the Treasures by tapping and sacrificing them, adding 1.
5. Holding priority, activate Haunted Crossroads by paying , putting Shambling Ghast from your graveyard onto the top of your library.
6. Resolve the Rakdos trigger, exiling Shambling Ghast from the top of your library with the ability to cast it until your next turn.
7. Resolve the Bartolomé del Presidio ability, putting a +1/+1 counter on it.
8. Cast Shambling Ghast from exile by paying 1.
9. Repeat.

This clever loop turns Shambling Ghast into an endless cycle of value by leveraging death and sacrifice synergy. Every time you feed the ghast to Bartolomé del Presidio, Pitiless Plunderer rewards you with a Treasure token to help fund the operation, while Haunted Crossroads conveniently fishes the ghast right back out of your graveyard to the top of your library. From there, Rakdos, the Muscle exiles the ghast off the top when you sacrifice it, granting you free rein to recast it from exile and do it all over again.
