How it works

1. Activate Bartolomé del Presidio by sacrificing Golgari Thug.
2. When Golgari Thug dies, it and Vein Ripper trigger.
3. Resolve the Golgari Thug trigger, putting it from your graveyard onto the top of your library.
4. Resolve the Vein Ripper trigger, causing you to gain 2 life and target opponent to lose 2 life.
5. Resolve the Bartolomé del Presidio ability.
6. Cast Golgari Thug from the top of your library by paying 2 life.
7. Repeat.

This lethal loop turns your graveyard into an endless engine of sacrifice and lifeloss. By feeding Golgari Thug to Bartolomé del Presidio, you trigger a death that Vein Ripper uses to steadily drain your opponent's life total while pumping up your sacrificing vampire with +1/+1 counters. Meanwhile, Golgari Thug's own dying trigger places itself right back on top of your library. From there, Gwenom, Remorseless steps in to let you bypass normal mana costs, allowing you to recast the Golgari Thug straight off the library by paying life and immediately repeating the cycle.
