How it works
- Play Obscura Storefront.
- When Obscura Storefront enters, it and Retreat to Emeria trigger.
- Resolve the Retreat to Emeria trigger, creating a 1/1 Kor Ally creature token.
- When the Kor Ally enters, Haru triggers, earthbending Obscura Storefront.
- Resolve the Obscura Storefront trigger from step 2, causing you to sacrifice it, search your library for an applicable land and put it onto the battlefield tapped, and gain 1 life.
- Haru triggers, returning Obscura Storefront from your graveyard to the battlefield.
- Repeat from step 2.
This clever engine uses the intersection of land and Ally triggers to generate an endless loop of value, anchored by Retreat to Emeria to provide the initial token fodder. Each time a Kor Ally enters the battlefield, Haru, Hidden Talent steps in to earthbend Obscura Storefront into an animated land, which then immediately triggers its own sacrifice clause to tutor up basic lands and gain life. Because Obscura Storefront dies in the process, Haru triggers a second time to bring it right back to the battlefield, restarting the cycle with fresh landfall triggers for Retreat to Emeria.
