How it works

1. Cast Volcano Hellion by paying 2.
2. When Volcano Hellion enters the battlefield, it triggers, dealing an arbitrarily large amount of damage to you and Volcano Hellion.
3. Instead of you losing the game as a state-based action, Lich's Mirror causes you to shuffle your hand, graveyard and all permanents you own into your library, causing Defiant Bloodlord to phase in as Oubliette leaves the battlefield, and setting your life total to 20.
4. Defiant Bloodlord triggers, causing an opponent to lose life equal to the life you gained.

This explosive loop turns self-inflicted damage into a devastating win condition by leveraging the interaction between Volcano Hellion's massive ETB damage and Lich's Mirror's replacement effect when you would lose the game. As the Mirror resets your board and life total, it forces Oubliette to leave the battlefield and return Defiant Bloodlord to play, which in turn triggers Defiant Bloodlord to drain your opponent for the life you gained during the reset.
