How it works

1. Activate Bloodflow Connoisseur by sacrificing Iron League Steed.
2. When Iron League Steed dies, its persist ability triggers, returning it from your graveyard to the battlefield with a -1/-1 counter on it.
3. When Iron League Steed enters, its fabricate ability triggers, putting a +1/+1 counter on it.
4. Resolve the Bloodflow Connoisseur ability.
5. Repeat.

This elegant loop revolves around the creature-recycling engine enabled by Eirdu, Carrier of Dawn // Isilu, Carrier of Twilight, whose back face grants your nontoken creatures persist to bring them back from the grave. By feeding Iron League Steed to Bloodflow Connoisseur, you trigger that persist return, sending the Steed back to the battlefield with a pesky -1/-1 counter. However, Iron League Steed's fabricate ability immediately counters this drawback by placing a +1/+1 counter on it, which promptly neutralizes the -1/-1 counter and leaves the Steed ready to be sacrificed to the Connoisseur all over again.
