How it works

1. Activate Bartolomé del Presidio by sacrificing Iron League Steed.
2. When Iron League Steed dies, its persist ability triggers, returning it from your graveyard to the battlefield with a -1/-1 counter on it.
3. When Iron League Steed enters, its fabricate ability triggers, putting a +1/+1 counter on it.
4. Resolve the Bartolomé del Presidio ability.
5. Repeat.

This elegant loop turns the back side of Eirdu, Carrier of Dawn // Isilu, Carrier of Twilight into an engine of endless sacrifice by granting its persist ability to Iron League Steed. When you feed the Steed to Bartolomé del Presidio, persist brings it right back with a -1/-1 counter, but its fabricate 1 ability immediately counters that drawback by placing a +1/+1 counter on it (which effectively neutralizes the -1/-1 counter as state-based actions check them). Because Isilu, Carrier of Twilight graciously hands out persist to all your other nontoken creatures, this cyclical rebirth repeats as many times as you desire.
