How it works

1. Activate Altar of Dementia by sacrificing Cult Conscript.
2. When Cult Conscript dies, Pitiless Plunderer and Golgari Germination trigger, creating a creature token and a Treasure token.
3. Resolve the Altar of Dementia ability.
4. Activate Altar of Dementia by sacrificing the creature token.
5. When the creature token dies, Pitiless Plunderer triggers, creating a Treasure token.
6. Resolve the Altar of Dementia ability.
7. Activate the Treasures by tapping and sacrificing them, adding 1.
8. Activate Cult Conscript by paying 1, returning it from your graveyard to the battlefield.
9. Repeat.

This cunning loop turns the humble demise of a Skeleton into a ceaseless engine of destruction. As you sacrifice Cult Conscript to Altar of Dementia, Pitiless Plunderer and Golgari Germination spring into action to generate a Treasure token and a Saproling token every time a creature perishes. You then feed that token back into Altar of Dementia to mill your opponent further while fueling your mana supply by cracking the generated Treasures. With the necessary black and generic mana easily paid from your loot, Cult Conscript's ability triggers to bring itself right back from the graveyard, ready to start the cycle anew.
