How it works

1. Activate Phyrexian Altar by sacrificing Cult Conscript, adding .
2. Activate Cult Conscript by paying 1, returning it from your graveyard to the battlefield.
3. Chalk Outline triggers, creating a creature token and a Clue token.
4. Activate Phyrexian Altar by sacrificing the creature token, adding 1.
5. Repeat.

This clever loop turns a modest skeleton into a tireless engine by leveraging Phyrexian Altar to fund its own return. When Cult Conscript is sacrificed to the Altar for black mana, its departure from the graveyard immediately triggers Chalk Outline, which rewards you with a fresh 2/2 Detective token and a Clue token to investigate with. You can then feed that newly created token right back into Phyrexian Altar to generate the extra generic mana needed to pay Cult Conscript's revival cost. The result is a self-sustaining cycle that endlessly repeats its sacrifices and leaves you with an overwhelming horde of artifacts and creatures.
