How it works

1. Activate Goblin Bombardment by sacrificing Vesperlark.
2. When Vesperlark dies, it triggers, returning Activated Sleeper from your graveyard to the battlefield as a copy of Vesperlark.
3. Activate Goblin Bombardment by sacrificing Activated Sleeper.
4. When Activated Sleeper dies, it triggers, returning Activated Sleeper from your graveyard to the battlefield as a copy of Vesperlark.
5. Resolve the Goblin Bombardment ability, dealing 1 damage to any target.
6. Repeat from step 3.

This clever loop turns the self-sacrificing nature of Vesperlark into a lethal engine by using Goblin Bombardment to repeatedly hurl creatures at the opponent. When Vesperlark dies and triggers its leaves-the-battlefield ability, it plucks Activated Sleeper from the graveyard, allowing it to enter as a fresh copy of Vesperlark itself. From there, the newly copied Activated Sleeper can be immediately sacrificed to Goblin Bombardment to trigger its own copy ability, creating an unending recursion loop that deals infinite damage to any target.
