How it works

1. Activate Imagecrafter by tapping it, causing Magmaw to become a Pirate until end of turn.
2. Activate Magmaw by paying 1 and sacrificing another nonland permanent, dealing 1 damage to an opponent.
3. Malcolm triggers, creating two Treasure tokens.
4. Activate a Treasure by tapping and sacrificing it, adding 1.
5. Repeat from step 2.

This ingenious loop transforms a humble creature into a deadly pirate kingpin with the help of Imagecrafter, which retypes Magmaw into a Pirate so its damage-dealing ability satisfies Malcolm, Keen-Eyed Navigator's trigger condition. Whenever Magmaw flings a sacrificed permanent at an opponent, Malcolm generates a Treasure token—a yield that is instantly doubled thanks to the replacement effect of Mondrak, Glory Dominus. The mana from sacrificing one of these doubled Treasures pays right back into Magmaw's activation cost, leaving you a surplus token every iteration to fuel an infinite loop of direct damage.
