How it works

1. Activate Imagecrafter by tapping it, causing Shao Jun to become a Pirate until end of turn.
2. Activate Shao Jun by tapping two artifacts, dealing 1 damage to each opponent.
3. Malcolm triggers, creating a Treasure for each opponent dealt damage this way.
4. Repeat from step 2.

By using Imagecrafter to temporarily rewrite Shao Jun's creature type to Pirate, we unlock the deadly synergy between her activated ability and Malcolm, Keen-Eyed Navigator. Since Shao Jun's Rope Dart ability asks you to tap two untapped artifacts to ping your opponents, the Treasure tokens generated by Malcolm's trigger provide the exact fuel needed to keep the loop going. This creates an engine of near-infinite damage and near-infinite tapped Treasure tokens to close out the game in Commander, Legacy, Oathbreaker, and Vintage.
