How it works

  1. Activate Blade of Shared Souls' equip ability by paying 2, attaching it to another creature you control.
  2. Blade of Shared Souls triggers, causing the creature it is attached to to become a copy of Roalesk.
  3. Put the creature with Blade of Shared Souls attached into your graveyard due to the legend rule.
  4. The creature triggers, putting two +1/+1 counters on Herd Baloth and Workhorse.
  5. Herd Baloth triggers twice, creating two 4/4 Beast creature tokens.
  6. Activate Workhorse twice by removing two +1/+1 counters from it, adding CC.
  7. Repeat.

This loop transforms Blade of Shared Souls and a cloning effect into an engine for infinite value, leveraging the legend rule to repeatedly trigger Roalesk, Apex Hybrid's devastating death ability. By continuously copying Roalesk, you feed counters into Herd Baloth to flood the board with Beast tokens while simultaneously harvesting energy from Workhorse to sustain the mana cost of equipping Blade of Shared Souls.
