How it works

1. Activate Bartolomé del Presidio by sacrificing Putrid Goblin.
2. When Putrid Goblin dies, its persist ability triggers, returning it from your graveyard to the battlefield with a -1/-1 counter on it.
3. Thran Vigil triggers, putting a +1/+1 counter on Putrid Goblin.
4. Resolve the Bartolomé del Presidio ability.
5. Repeat.

This clever loop relies on Putrid Goblin returning from the dead via its persist ability, which conveniently causes it to leave the graveyard and triggers Thran Vigil to place a +1/+1 counter on a creature. Because that counter immediately cancels out the -1/+1 counter Putrid Goblin received from persist, the goblin is completely reset and ready to be fed back into Bartolomé del Presidio's sacrifice ability. By continuously looping this process, you generate an endless stream of artifact and creature sacrifices alongside infinite triggers.
