How it works

1. Activate Blasting Station by tapping it and sacrificing Putrid Goblin
2. When Putrid Goblin dies, its persist ability triggers, returning it from your graveyard to the battlefield with a -1/-1 counter on it.
3. When Putrid Goblin enters, Blasting Station and Stalwart Successor trigger.
4. Resolve the Blasting Station trigger, untapping it
5. Resolve the Stalwart Successor trigger, putting a +1/+1 counter on Putrid Goblin
6. Resolve the Blasting Station ability from step 1
7. Repeat.

This clever loop transforms Putrid Goblin into an endless loop of ammunition for Blasting Station. Normally, the creature's persist ability would weigh it down with a -1/-1 counter and stop it from coming back a second time, but Stalwart Successor cleverly circumvents this drawback by automatically granting a +1/+1 counter whenever counters are placed on it for the first time each turn. Because +1/+1 and -1/-1 counters annihilate each other through state-based actions, Putrid Goblin's slate is wiped clean every single time it re-enters the battlefield, allowing you to sacrifice it repeatedly to deal infinite damage to any target.
