How it works

1. Activate Goblin Bombardment by sacrificing Putrid Goblin.
2. When Putrid Goblin dies, its persist ability triggers, returning it from your graveyard to the battlefield with a -1/-1 counter on it.
3. When Putrid Goblin enters the battlefield, Geralf's second ability triggers, putting a number of +1/+1 counters on it equal to the number of other Zombies that entered the battlefield under your cotnrol this turn.
4. Resolve the Goblin Bombardment ability, dealing 1 damage to any target.
5. Repeat.

This loop relies on Putrid Goblin’s persist mechanic to cycle endlessly in and out of the graveyard, sacrificed to Goblin Bombardment to ping any target for infinite damage. While the persist ability would normally doom the goblin with a -1/-1 counter, Geralf, the Fleshwright steps in to neutralize that drawback by placing a +1/+1 counter on it upon entry, which immediately annihilates the -1/-1 counter through state-based actions. This brilliant interplay lets the same goblin recur indefinitely, generating infinite death triggers, sacrifice triggers, and creature entries to close out the game on the spot.
